Bet365 Promotion

Bet365’s Tennis Retirement Guarantee is aimed at selected tennis match winner bets where the opposing player retires injured during the match. The offer applies to certain pre-match singles and multiples, but the settlement differs depending on the bet type and whether any part of the stake was placed using Bet Credits.

Offer Overview

This promotion is available to new and eligible customers only. It covers pre-match bets on the To Win Match market for main draw singles matches from selected ATP events, plus WTA and Grand Slam events.

For a qualifying single bet, if your player’s opponent retires hurt during the match, Bet365 will settle your selection as a winner. The stake is returned as cash, while the winnings are paid as Bet Credits.

For qualifying multiple bets, a selection affected by an opponent retirement is treated as a winner. If the rest of the multiple also lands, the stake and the winnings from the unaffected parts are paid in cash, while any extra return created by the Retirement Guarantee is paid as Bet Credits.

How It Works

The offer only applies to bets placed before the match starts and only in the To Win Match market.

If you back a player in a qualifying single and their opponent retires injured, Bet365 pays the bet as a winner under this promotion rather than settling it under the standard tennis rules.

If the same situation happens within a qualifying accumulator, that leg is counted as a winning selection. The full multiple must still go on to win for the enhanced settlement to apply.

If you back the player who retires hurt, the bet is settled as void and the stake is returned as cash in line with Bet365’s tennis rules.

Where a stake was funded fully or partly with Bet Credits, the Bet Credits portion is handled separately. That matters because Bet Credits stakes are non-withdrawable and do not form part of normal returns in the same way as cash stakes.

Key Terms to Know

The promotion is restricted to new and eligible customers.

It applies only to main draw singles in:

  • ATP events, excluding Challenger Tour
  • WTA events
  • Grand Slam events

It does not apply to:

  • qualifying matches
  • Bet Builder bets
  • bets that have been Cashed Out

There is also a specific point for acca users: selections settled as winners because of the Retirement Guarantee do not count as qualifying selections for the 100% Acca Boost.

Bet Credits awarded under the promotion are non-withdrawable. Returns generated from Bet Credits stakes can go to your withdrawable balance, but the Bet Credits stake itself is not returned in the usual way. Bet Credits expire 7 days after being added, and any new addition resets the expiry point for the total Bet Credits balance.

Bet365 also states that where promotional use results in guaranteed profit patterns, it may reclaim the promotional element or void bets funded by Bet Credits.

Who This Promotion Suits

This offer is most relevant for tennis bettors who place pre-match match winner bets on the main tours and want some protection against an opponent retiring mid-match.

It is more suitable for punters who are comfortable receiving part of the value in Bet Credits rather than all-cash winnings. That is especially important on singles, where the winnings under the guarantee are paid as Bet Credits.

It may also appeal to multiple-bet users, although the benefit is narrower there because the acca still needs to win overall and only the additional value linked to the retirement leg is paid as Bet Credits.

It is less suitable for anyone mainly betting on qualifiers, using Bet Builder, or regularly Cashing Out, as those situations are excluded.

Final Word

Bet365’s Tennis Retirement Guarantee adds a layer of cover to selected pre-match tennis match winner bets when an opponent retires injured. The main value is straightforward enough, but the detail matters: only certain events and markets qualify, Bet Builder and Cashed Out bets are excluded, and much of the promotional upside is paid in Bet Credits rather than cash.

For comparison purposes, this is a useful tennis-specific offer if you already bet on eligible ATP, WTA or Grand Slam singles and are happy with the Bet Credits settlement structure.
